Foxy Doxy Dachshund rescue is not a shelter and they do not have business hours where you can walk in. They feel it is in the best interest of the Dachshunds to be in homes. If you know Dachshunds, you know they like to be spoiled not live in kennels or dog runs. If you want to meet a Dachshund, you must first fill out an application on our site www.foxydoxydachshundrescue.com.
Donations and adoption fees go towards the dog's vet costs, gas to be a taxi for the Doxies, shelter fees, medicine, food, flea/tick and heart worm prevention and the bills to keep the rescue operating. Things like utility bills, gas for traveling to shelters and such to rescue the Dachshunds, and ..... the list goes on. Please keep in mind they do not have a vet on staff and do not get funds from anything but donations and adoption fees. This rescue is operated out of a loving, selfless home.
