Miniature Dachshund Rescue

Commonly, Dachshund Rescues have a variety of Dachshunds for adoption including: standard, short haired, long haired, wire haired and miniature Dachshunds. It's not common to find Dachshund Rescue groups that only care for miniature Dachshunds because they care for the breed as a whole and not just a certain type of wiener dog within the breed family.

Dachshund Rescues that offer miniature Dachshunds for adoption as well as all other types are generally not for profit organizations with the purpose to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Dachshunds in need.

Dachshund Rescue groups are mostly made up of experienced independent rescue individuals. Every year these Dachshund Rescues place 1000's of wiener dogs to new, loving permanent homes.

Most rescued Dachshunds spend a short time under observation and in many cases foster care so their behavior can be evaluated. The goal is to offer potential adopters information on how their new Dachshund may interact with their existing family members and other pets. These are critical components to a good match for finding a new home.

All Dachshund Rescue proceeds are used to help the many sick, scared and abused Dachshunds that come through their doors every year. We encourage you to help them continue their mission by adopting a rescued Miniature Dachshund or Dachshund of your choosing as an alternative to purchasing from breeders.
